What Are Dental Veneers?
Veneers are special facings that we place on the front of your teeth to help improve their appearance. They’re typically used to mask concerns related to tooth misalignment, severe staining, atypical tooth shape or when bonding isn’t appropriate.
Each covering is handcrafted to create a whiter, more symmetrical smile by masking the tooth behind it. In most cases, Dr Pulkit recommends placing several veneers side-by-side across your upper front teeth.
The Treatment Process
Dental veneers usually require at least two or three visits. We begin by preparing your teeth and reducing them by a fraction of a millimetre to create space for the bonded porcelain. This ensures adequate room for your facing so that they look more aesthetic.
Next, we capture a digital scan for our lab, which will create a digital mock-up based on our discussion of your smile goals. From there, we’ll create a physical mock-up to give you a trial run of your proposed veneers. This step allows you to show your friends and family and make any adjustments before your final veneers are crafted at the lab. When we’ve finalised your veneer design, the porcelain versions are created and then bonded onto your teeth.
