Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of the most common questions we receive.
If you don't find what you're looking for, feel free to contact us.
Brushing your teeth is a crucial part of maintaining a healthy smile. Use a soft-bristled toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste, brushing for at least two minutes, twice a day. Focus on using gentle circular motions to clean all surfaces of your teeth—front, back, and chewing surfaces. Don't forget to angle your brush at 45 degrees to your gumline, where bacteria often lurk. Brushing your tongue is also essential for removing bacteria and keeping your breath fresh. Consistency and proper technique make a big difference.
Flossing helps remove food particles and plaque from places your toothbrush can't reach. Start with about 18 inches of floss, winding most around one finger and leaving a small section to work with. Gently slide the floss between each tooth, curving it into a C shape around the base to clean below the gumline. Use a fresh section of floss for each tooth. It may feel tricky at first, but regular practice makes flossing a quick and easy habit that supports gum health and prevents cavities.
Yes! We are pleased to offer adolescents dentistry services, including free general dental treatment for high school students. This covers check-ups, cleanings, necessary extractions, and root canals. Some treatments may require prior approval, so we recommend contacting our office to discuss your child's specific needs. We're committed to providing a friendly, comfortable environment to help kids develop lifelong dental habits.
It's time to schedule a dental visit if you're experiencing persistent tooth pain, bleeding gums, sensitivity to hot or cold, or any unusual changes in your oral health. Even without symptoms, regular check-ups every six months help catch potential issues early and keep your smile in top shape.
Dental emergencies can be stressful, but we're here to help. If you have a knocked-out tooth, severe pain, or another urgent issue, contact our office straightaway. We offer same-day dentistry services to address emergencies promptly and minimise discomfort. Quick action can often save a tooth or prevent complications, so dont hesitate to reach out.
We believe dental care should be accessible to everyone. That's why we provide flexible payment options, including 0% financing plans, Southern Cross Easy Claim, and AfterPay. Whether you need routine care or more extensive treatment, we'll work with you to find a solution that fits your budget.
For optimal oral health, visit the dentist every six months for a check-up and professional cleaning. Regular visits help prevent problems like cavities and gum disease while keeping your teeth looking their best. If you have specific concerns, such as ongoing sensitivity or a history of dental issues, your dentist may recommend a personalised schedule.
